I know Istanbul’s most famous Muslim heritage is the Blue Mosque, but not for Muslims

The most important mosque for Muslims in the city is located elsewhere
I highly recommend paying a visit to Eyüp Sultan Mosque.
Not only can you enjoy the experience of visiting the first mosque built after the Ottoman conquest, but it is also considered a holy place for the Turkish Muslim community — a significant local site.
After visiting Eyüp Sultan Mosque, it is a must to proceed to Pierre Loti hill to savor the best Turkish coffee while overlooking the Golden Horn. From the mosque, it’s a 15-minute uphill walk through a cemetery. Alternatively, you can take the cable car up to the coffee house.
